About the U.S. Antarctic Program
The National Science Foundation is an independent U.S. government agency responsible for promoting science and engineering through programs that invest over $3.3 billion per year in almost 20,000 research and education projects in science and engineering. One of these programs is the United States Antarctic Program, which the Foundation funds and manages.
Raytheon Polar Services was formed to specifically meet the needs of the National Science Foundation's Office of Polar Programs. We are a single, dedicated, multi-resource organization with the support of the $20 billion, 100,000-employee Raytheon Company of which we are a part. We have assembled an exceedingly qualified and experienced management team to lead our performance on NSF's Science, Operations and Maintenance Support contract of the United States Antarctic Program.
